Adventureland for Minecraft 1.9 - A Complete Minecraft World

Over 70 Dungeons, plus over 70 Extra Treasure Hunts and a fully equipped city! By GamingCats
I wanted to see how far we could go in creating a Minecraft world map that had dungeons, treasure hunts and multiple locations. The result is what you see here - Adventureland!

Starting from a freshly made world in Survival Hard mode, I wanted to start off with a nice central location to call home. I found a great town called Meridor at a wonderful site for schematics (http://www.minecraft-schematics.com). Meridor was created by user Claymore242 and he deserves a lot of praise for this creation. Meridor has libraries, furnished houses and buildings, storage rooms - some empty but some full of very useful stuff! There are gardens, villagers to trade with, livestock, anvils, enchantment tables and potion tables and much more. Everything you need to get started can be found here, although mining for some ores like iron, gold, Lapis lazuli , diamonds etc doesn't hurt!

Once the Meridor schematic was downloaded I used MCEdit1.7 to import and place the town in the Minecraft world. So now we had a great, fully equipped base to start from.

Next using MCDungeon I first added over 70 random sized and random themed dungeons created using its hard_mode setting. Then it was on to Treasure Hunts and more than 70 of these were added as well. Treasure hunts are random locations with chests with various items, some plain, some good, some great and usually come equipped with creature spawners so be careful! And there are chests and hidden rooms in the dungeons, and the deeper you go the better the items. Of course the worse the monsters become.

Here is a panoramic look around Adventureland from a tall tower in the town of Meridor.

And here are some screens during day and after dark.

The dungeons are for the most part very, very difficult. If you are an experienced Minecraft Survival Mode player explore then in Hard Mode. If not use Normal difficulty. Don't use Peaceful or you will miss out on all the real fun as this is a battleground for sure. I have found various levels of armor and weapons, potions and magic items in some of the chests.

Here is a video showing how to install Advertureland once you download it to your computer. The download file was scanned with Kaspersky Antivirus and is safe.

To download click on this link which will save the archived game directory to your computer.

Remember that Adventureland is a Mincraft world made for use in Minecraft 1.9 for the PC. I don't know if it will work on other platforms or versions.

Have fun!
